Design that will get your business noticed

Get out from behind that leaf!

Welcome to my portfolio website. Browsing it could not be simpler, as I only have the single page. Just click an option from the client list on the left and take a look at the work I have done for them. Since I went freelance (in 2007) I have worked on a variety of projects ranging from corporate identity to website design.

I have been working as a graphic designer for many years and my experience has taught me that to be successful, you have to fully understand the clients needs. Listen to their ideas and translate them into concepts of a high standard, in a reasonable amount of time. This ethos is key in every project I undertake. I hope you like the work shown here. Please feel free to get in touch if you need a designer that will get your business noticed.

Below is a small part of my design portfolio. Simple, clean design that makes sense!

Client
Wye Valley & Forest of Dean Tourism Association

Project
Corporate Identity
The WVFDTA required a professional logo based around two symbolic images of the area, the oak tree and the river Wye. Combining these icons with a classic font, the design took on a smart, contemporary feel.

Marketing Booklets
Business directory style booklets were needed that had to stand out from the tourism crowd. Therefore the idea was to keep it clean, contemporary and very easy to understand. Also using appropriate high quality imagery, the booklets gave the Association a professional look that was welcome by everyone.

Client
Mamash

Project
Corporate Identity & Marketing
The brief behind this identity stemmed from the 'framing' idea, but as their prints are produced digitally, the CMYK element polished off the design to perfection. The 'edge' styling makes a striking consistent element throughout the design work.

All photographs for the marketing were taken digitally.

Client
Hot Pots in the Vale

Project
Corporate Identity
This South Wales based company required an identity that used a minimal amount of colours and it had to be versatile enough so it could be used on their delivery vehicles.

Bouncing Pig Pottery

Projects
Marketing Leaflet
Given the unique style of pottery, this leaflet needed a ‘fun’ edge but still had to be clean and business-like. All the photography was done digitally, in a professional photographic studio.

Client
SuperSimple

Project
Corporate Identity
This online based company wanted to have a design that echoed the simplicity of the buying process used on the website. The final design also gave the feeling of speed and accuracy.

Client
Kearsey's Health Food Shop

Project
Corporate Identity
With today's preoccupation with healthy food and diet, this identity had to show an organic, natural feel. Inverting the text on to a black background gives the identity a smart, classy look without being to elitist.

I also produced a business card for this client, which is not shown here.

Client
Copes Quarry

Project
Corporate Identity
The strong, bold text emulates what the business is about and the colours give an indication of the type of stone that is quarried. An interlocking CQ gives the identity a logotype that can be used without the main type.

Client
Carrie Elspeth Jewellery

Project
Corporate Identity
Carrie needed an identity for her new range of mens cufflinks. The cufflink designs incorporate geometric shapes and the letter E happens to be one of the designs. This identity is being used throughout the marketing campaign, but the identity shown here, is being used for the product packaging.

Congratulations! You made it to the end. If you like what I do, go back to the top and give me a call, or email me on richard@pixcelldesign.co.uk.
